What Needs To Be Considered When I Sell My Porsche
What Needs To Be Considered When I Sell My Porsche
It was about 2 months back that I finally made the tough call; I had to sell my Porsche. Its a lovely car and Im more attached to my Porsche then anything else but the credit crunch was hitting my wallet in several ways and cutbacks in my expenditure were called for. It was not an overnight decision and despite serious efforts I could do nothing about the monetary mismatch. The only solution was to sell my Porsche which was my most expensive overhead.
As I picked up the telephone to contact a dealer to sell my Porsche I changed my mind because I really didnt want to let her go. So I sat down and relooked at the costs associated with having my Porsche. I was hoping that something had changed overnight. The list began with the borrowing cost. A Porsche is not just another car and this special tag comes with a cost. I had taken out a substantial loan to buy her which amounted to sizeable interest charges every month. The next column was easy to figure out it was the insurance fee and it was rather steep as well. The third category in the list was the taxes followed by the maintenance charges. While half of the maintenance costs were planned and reported in the car owners manual there were also the unexpected maintenance costs and they could be very expensive. Last but not least was the depreciation cost. As I relooked at the figures they confirmed my decision; I had to sell my Porsche.
The next task was to find the right way to sell my Porsche. I was going to pick up the phone and contact a car dealer but I decided to research the subject to ensure I got the best possible deal. It took me a little time but it was worth it. I started my research by speaking to friends and then followed it up by looking on the internet. The research results were to sell my Porsche to a car dealer who specialises in buying prestige cars. I was informed the company will buy the car directly from me and they make the whole transaction really painless.
Before I sold my Porsche I was advised by my friends to take some simple steps which could mean a higher return on my car. The overall idea behind the prep work was to convey that my Porsche has really been special to me and that Id gone to great pains to ensure my vehicle was in excellent condition. Firstly I cleaned my car both inside and outside because it is important to make a good first impression. Cleaning the car also meant I checked every nook and cranny to remove all my personal items. The engine was another section which would be under scrutiny and chances are would not be clean. Therefore I made a point to include it in the cleaning exercise. I then ensured all the paperwork for my car was up to date and included all the maintenance records such as the oil changes were listed that the MOT was valid and the Road Tax was in date.
When I was doing my research I learnt some important lessons and Id like to make a cautionary statement for those contemplating the selfsell process. Neither the websites nor the print advertising associates will offer the greatest help when it comes to selling such a beautiful machine as a Porsche. Whereas with a company that specialises in buying prestige cars they know exactly what they are talking about and will make it pleasure to sell my Porsche to them.

History Of The Limousine Rental Service In The U.s
History Of The Limousine Rental Service In The U.s
There is a variety of limousine rental services all around the U.S. each one offering different services for its customers. Majority of the people who avail of their services usually use the limousine service for weddings or proms which are mostly done during the spring season. Most limousine rental service companies offer a variety of limousine models ranging from newer models to vintagelooking older models.
Each limousine rental company also offer a variety of amenities to go along their limousine cars ranging from the standard limousine driver and beverages to specific additions such as body modification for the limousine television sets and other specifications made by the customer. Of course the more additions and amenities that the limousine has then the more pricy the service would be so prepare to shell out a considerable amount of cash if you want to get a very luxurious limousine ride.
Although limousine rental services are beginning to become very common nowadays not a lot of people know exactly how they came about. Limousines nowadays have incorporated newer models of cars and have transformed them into limousinetype vehicles just so their customers can have a wide array of choices of limousines to fit the customers preferences and needs. Limousines which is basically defined as a stretched luxury car that is driven by a chauffeur bears a profile that is similar to the hoods that people in the French Limousine region wore which is where the term limousine was derived from.
The limousines that we have today are actually based on a stretchedout version of big sedans. These limousines are characterized by a sliding glass window that goes between the passenger and driver in order to give the passenger the privacy that he or she may want. These stretchedout sedans have actually two rows of seats and room to accommodate rear passengers. Early versions of limousines placed the rear seats facing forward towards the driver offering more leg room for the passenger while another row of seats facing the rear seat is placed behind the drivers seat. This allows people to have facetoface conversations with the other passengers in the limousine while maintaining enough room for everyone to not feel constricted. When the seats behind the driver are not needed those can be folded up in order to remove the unnecessary bulk that can eat up the space in the car.
Limousines have also taken aspects of horsedrawn stagecoaches in their design which was used for carrying a large number of passengers as well incorporating certain features into their service and design in order to progress into much better limousine transportation service providers such as the ones that we have today.
Limousines nowadays do not necessarily follow the same structure but have features that are very reminiscent of the older versions of limousines. The newer models still have the same seating arrangement in the back but add another row of seats lining the side of the limousine facing the side window. This allows for more seating capacity but sacrifices much of the leg room in the car. These new additions are usually used on those limousines that are capable of handling a high capacity of people.
Modern day limousine rental services have evolved adding newer models and a whole lot more amenities in their list of services all for the benefit and advantage of their customers.

Bmw Hydrogen 7 Invades The Streets
Bmw Hydrogen 7 Invades The Streets
Following its launch at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth a fleet of three BMW Hydrogen 7s will take part in the Revolve Brighton to London rally for low and zeroemission cars. The rally which is scheduled today will start on Madeira Drive in Brighton; the fleet of Hydrogen 7s will follow a preplanned route ending at Trafalgar Square in London.
During the course of the event HRH The Prince of Wales a Government Minister the Deputy Mayor of London Nicky Gavron and a number of other dignitaries will be introduced to the worlds first hydrogenpowered emissionsfree luxury saloon car. After the rally the BMW Hydrogen 7 will be displayed at the London Science Museum along with other historysignificant vehicles.
The use of the BMW Hydrogen 7 at the Revolve Brighton to London rally marks yet another step towards hydrogen powered cars becoming an everyday reality on the streets of this country. Zero emission motoring is no longer a dream and this car proves the technology isnt as far away as some sceptics may think said John Hollis the BMW Group Head of Government and Industrial Affairs.
He added We want to kickstart the debate about the future of personal mobility and the importance of hydrogen as the definitive fuel. The opinions of politicians and other influencers are important in driving this forward to ensure that hydrogenpower comes to fruition as soon as possible.
The BMW Hydrogen 7 which is based on the chassis of the standard 7series comes equipped with a bivalent internal combustion engine that is capable of running on hydrogen or gasoline. In hydrogen mode the Hydrogen 7 emits nothing more than water vapor. Powered by a 260hp 12cylinder engine the saloon car accelerates from zero to 62mph in 9.5 seconds before going on to an electronicallylimited 143mph top speed.
The driver can switch smoothly and quickly from hydrogen to conventional petrol power at the press of a steering wheelmounted button with its unique dual fuel engine. The dual power technology means the car has a cruising range in excess of 125 miles in the hydrogen mode with a further 300 miles under gasoline power. The Hydrogen 7 is equipped with a BMW heater core 74litregasoline tank and an extra hydrogen fuel tank holding up to eight kilograms of liquid hydrogen which is stored at 253 degrees Celsius. Such flexibility means the driver of a BMW Hydrogen 7 is able to use the vehicle at all times even when the nearest hydrogen filling station is out of range. In Wembley a bespoke filling station has been constructed to support the automakers plans.
Engine power and torque in the car saloon remain exactly the same notwithstanding the kind of fuel used. The driver can switch between the two without any effect on driving performance or behavior. The Hydrogen 7 always gives priority to the use of hydrogen but should this run out; the vehicle automatically switches to gasoline power.
Unlike previous hydrogen concept cars flaunted by rival manufacturers the Hydrogen 7 is deemed a milestone in the auto history. It is a full production ready vehicle which has met all the strict processes and final signoff criteria that each present BMW model undergoes.
A more efficient route for car makers would be to focus on highmileage gasolinepowered vehicles. They are far simpler and less sexy than hydrogen cars Mr. Talbot says but for now they stack up as the cleaner option the Wall Street Journal concluded.
