The first step to get a title on my motorcycle is to get the vin number. The vin number is located on most of your bikes on the frame close to the handle bars. you need to know the make of the motorcycle and the year this is the most improtant imformation. You might as well get pen and paper in your hand and start organizing the information. The year the make of the motorcycle the vin number of the motorcycle and if it has an old tag on it you need to write that information also. This is the information you need to have ready in the state of Oklahoma and in every other state. They may have a little different process but you are going to need this information.

In the State of Oklahoma there are 4 or 5 forms you have to sign and they have to be notarized so you will need your drivers license or another form of id with a picture and your signature. The drivers license is the best form of identification.

Next the records have to be found on the motorcycle through the state motor division department. That sometimes gets a little rough because they do not want to release any information on a car any more if you are not the owner of the vehicle. In some states you have to have a notarized form to get this information. This is the most difficult part because with all the identitive theif it is real hard to get this information released. If you are not in some kind of business that needs this information they will not release it to you.
